YEREVAN, February 9, /ARKA/. An Armenian daily Hraparak (Square) says in its today’s issue that price level in Armenia is 75% higher than in Europe.
The daily quotes a former prime minister Hrant Bagratian as saying that the figure was revealed by Economic Cooperation and Development organization. He says also average per capita income in Europe is 7 times higher than in Armenia.
For comparison Hrant bagratian says Russian citizens’ average income is three times higher than in Armenia but food prices there are 12% cheaper.
‘This means that there is a different motive behind price growth in Armenia. The work of Armenian Central Bank is a national catastrophe,’ he says.-0-
