N.a.v. het nieuws bericht op © Armregions.am heeft Famtofam besloten om de het gezin Arpenik Ghazaryan (financieel) te gaan ondersteunen.
De moeder heeft twee kinderen en is verstoken van sociale uitkeringen. De familie leeft in verschrikkelijke omstandigheden (geen gas en elektriciteit en dat bij -10 graden). We hebben Karine (onze contactpersoon in Gyumri) gevraagd om het gezin te gaan (op)zoeken.
Karine heeft het gezin afgelopen zaterdag bezocht (I have visited the family today. the conditions are awfully bad. The mother told nobody helped them.)
We hopen dat het gezin zo snel mogelijk wordt voorzien van gas en elektriciteit en dat de oudste dochter (14 jaar) weer naar school (internaat) kan.

Arpenik Ghazaryan’s family, mother of two children, has been deprived of social allowance for four months without any reason. The woman had been forced to allow her 14-year-old daughter Sona to live in children’s home. Meanwhile she lives with her 1.5-year-old baby in a half-ruined hut.

Arpenik turned to Gyumri center and asked to visit their home. When the centre representatives arrived, she was alone with her baby. Moreover, she had no electricity as well for several days. Temperature was -10C outside, while even the oven was not on.

In many case children come back from the children’s home for the weekend. However, Arpenik cannot even bring her daughter home, as she has no money for the transport. Both children are not being included in the list of Gyumri city administration, or any international or charitable organizations.
