Who are we?

Famtofam is a foundation for which a number of enthusiastic voleenteers in th North of the
Netherlands dedicate themselves to offer help in the Shirak region of Armenia. They are assistedby a
couple of contacts in Armenia who are “the eyes and ears”for Famtofam.

Famtofam started after the terrible earthquake in 1988 which cost more than 25.000 lives and in
which more than 300.000 were injured. People in the North East of Fryslan concerned
themselveswith these people and began offering aid in the area of the earthquake. This resulted
eventually in 2001 in the formal founding of Famtofam.
